Sur-Ron Light Bee S Electric Dirt Bike

PMSM stands for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. Combined with Field-Oriented Control (FOC) and a Sinewave Controller, it produces the smoothest, most efficient power delivery available in electric motors. FOC precisely controls the magnetic field in the motor to maintain optimal torque at every RPM. The result is instant, progressive, predictable power delivery with no cogging or jerking. This combination in the Sur-Ron Light Bee S produces 162 ft-lbs of wheel torque at 108 lbs total weight — the ratio that set the standard for the entire electric dirt bike category.

Eco mode limits power output for extended range and smoother, more manageable power delivery — suitable for trail riding where traction and control matter more than maximum speed. Sports mode enables full 3500W peak output and activates regenerative braking, where the motor acts as a generator when you close the throttle to slow the bike and recover energy back into the battery. Sports mode is for experienced riders who want maximum performance.

The Light Bee S weighs 108 lbs on a forged aluminium alloy frame. Range is 34 miles at 25 mph in Eco mode from the 50.4V 26Ah removable battery. At full Sports mode speed of 31 mph, range reduces to approximately 20-25 miles. Charge time from empty is 5.5 hours on the included charger.
